From herding to Sharing our Culture

SámiReindeer, founded by experienced reindeer herders Henrik Nutti and Per-Jonas Kemi Nutti, offers unique Sámi tourism experiences in northern Sweden. The company aims to showcase the Sámi way of life with reindeer and to strengthen Sámi cultural presence in the region.

Henrik Nutti and Per-Jonas are reindeer herders from Jokkmokk and proud members of the Sirges Sámi community. Reindeer herding has been the foundation of their lives and livelihoods for as long as they can remember – shaping who they are and how they see the world. Over the years, this way of life has also taught them the value of knowledge, experience, and strong partnerships.

Henrik combines reindeer herding with his work as a drone photographer and carpenter, specialising in photography, film, building documentation, and marketing. His broad practical experience, combined with an international network within the reindeer herding industry, brings a unique perspective to SámiReindeer.

Per-Jonas has an equally deep background in reindeer herding and a wide professional network across Sápmi and the Nordic region. His deep understanding of reindeer behaviour is invaluable in creating respectful, authentic visitor experiences. He previously worked as a Sámi guide at Tromsø Lapland in Norway, leading reindeer sled tours, lectures, and cultural presentations for guests from all over the world – an experience that taught him what international visitors value most in Sámi tourism.

Together, Henrik and Per-Jonas founded SámiReindeer as a bridge between their culture and the world. By combining traditional knowledge with modern entrepreneurship, they aim to strengthen Sámi presence in the Luleå region and share their living culture through genuine encounters, storytelling, and reindeer experiences.
