This experience invites you to connect with the reindeer in an authentic and personal way.

Your visit begins in the lavvu, where your hosts welcome you and share what to expect before meeting the reindeer. Here, you’ll get close to the animals, feed them by hand, and learn about their lives and personalities through stories told by your guide.

After spending some time outdoors, we’ll gather inside the lavvu again – by the fire and with panoramic views of the reindeer grazing outside. A traditional Sámi meal is served: Mállás, a traditional Sámi slow-cooked meat soup, with a vegetarian option available. Afterwards, enjoy coffee or tea served with something sweet and local, such as cloudberries with cream or coffee cheese.

As you enjoy your meal and fika, you’ll hear stories about Sámi life, music, and traditions – who we are, where we come from, and what it means to live with the reindeer. The experience ends outside by the fire, where you can return to the enclosure and spend a moment with the reindeer herd, and try your hand at lasso throwing.

Your experience begins inside the lavvu, where your hosts welcome you with an introduction and stories about the reindeer and life in Sápmi.

Afterwards, you’ll step out onto the vast, snowy river ice. Seated comfortably in a sled pulled by a reindeer, you’ll glide silently through the Arctic landscape while your Sámi host leads the way and shares insights into the deep connection between people, animals, and nature. The only sounds are the soft rhythm of hooves and the runners moving across the snow.

The tour takes place in the afternoon or early evening, when the winter light begins to fade and the first stars appear. On clear nights, you might be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky - a breathtaking sight that adds a touch of magic to this unforgettable experience.
